Most nonprofits operate several programs while their donors are not always interested in all the organizations' programs. You've been asking for this to have a reflection on your GivingLoop page and we've listened.
We've translated that to:
- Organizations should be able to add "programs" to their pages.
- Donors should be able to choose a "program" while giving their donation, or to leave it unlabeled (a generic donation).
- We don't want to attach legal bindings to this, so we'd make it a "preference" rather than an ensured allocation. We don't want this to turn into a restricted source of funding for the organization.
Practically speaking, this feature on your page will look like this:
And inside your dashboard, you'll be able to manage your programs like this:
We've rolled out this feature in the simplest form so we can hear your feedback on it and enhance it later once you start utilizing it.
If you are wondering where else this will get reflected, you will definitely see the Program name under both your Cashflow Statement and All Donors pages in your dashboard. Allowing you to take the donation under the right operational section in your organization.
We encourage you to stick as much as you could to your donors preferences in terms of where the money is spent.
