We define GivingLoop in no way as a fundraising tool. Our only mission is to become the sustainability arm for your organization. And we build our platform for it.
Although you can collect one time donations on GivingLoop, donations that churn fast are out of our roadmap's focus. We've announced earlier that we started to manage failing transactions in a more sustainability-aligned manner, but that's not the whole story.
Donors cancel their monthly gifts for a bunch of reasons; be it changes in their financial capabilities, your organizations impact, or the GivingLoop experience.
Our roadmap does include a soft way of handling these reasons but we cannot presume these reasons without hearing them from the donors who cancel, themselves. Our first step towards creating the best canceling experience is to listen to the donor.
We show a very simple box that asks about the reason, it's totally optional so that cancelling and keeping the gift are both a click away.
This is how the the box looks.
After collecting a sufficient amount of data on why they cancel their gifts, we'll proceed with building the proper process that encourages donors to make the right decision. The collected information is not shared with your organization since the sole purpose of it is to improve the GivingLoop experience for your donors what will contribute to your sustainability.
